yeah, i was just down there and i think i've got most of it figured out
it would APPEAR, that i've lost one of those copper arms that hook into the buttons
i found 3, and i placed 2 in the cruse button, operating 2-3 and 4-5
then i placed the other one in the fog button, which operated 9-10
at that point, the light denoting the functionality of the cruse light (the LED that lights up the button) was working, but the lights worked
then i switched the arm to 7-8, and the fog lights worked, but the LED did not. leading me to conclude i lost the dealie, and i will likely have to look real hard/fashion a new one out of some pennies
and the cruise button in the dash is off, because it blew. likely because i did not unplug the battery (thank you kwren) haha
i think rather than cutting and juxtaposing wires as you've suggested, i could just (semi)permanently connect 7-8, and that will have the same effect as if the button was always pressed down, right?
PS: I dont have any DRLs to speak of at the moment, so swapping the headlight/fog light wire wouldnt do much. i only NEED DRLs to pass the ridiculous government inspection, so i can register and finally start driving this thing
