Hey Dustin,

Once you get in and start doing whatever is is that you want to do - or close to what you want to do, start school at a community college with online or onbase classes as soon as possible. You can count your military training and basic training as credits towards your associates degree. Any base will have an education center with counseling available.

Once you have the associates, you might be able to get into a program where the service will pay you to go to the school of your choice full time and then go straight into Officer Candidate School.

This will mean BIG perks for you down the road as well as more money which, by the way, is actually why we go to work anyway. It might be a pain in the buttox to get there but it will pay off big in the end.

I was in the AF in the intel field. It was sweet because all of the materials (including tech school) were classified. What does that mean? That you can't take home any work - no homework, no studying, nothing. Your time away from work was yours to do what you want.

Good luck,

Greg
