Happens all the time, I know, but still ....

I pull into the gas station and fumble with the credit-card thingy. It won't accept my card, so I have to reinsert it over and over and play with the keypad. I'm imagining the attendants in the booth are wondering out loud, "What the heck this guy is trying to do?" Eventually I get the dang thing started and begin to pump gas. I look toward the booth, and sure enough, there are a couple of people watching me.

Anyway, as I'm finishing up, one of them comes out of the booth and walks toward me. Oh, oh. I knew there was a problem with my credit card.

"Excuse me, sir ... I have to ask you a question."

"Yes?"

"We were wondering ... do only part of your windows roll down?"

*chuckle*

I end up demostrating the windows, and she's blown away. She thanks me.
