Thumbs up Throttle body cleaner pepsi challenge

I did a head to head comparison between valvoline synthetic throttle body/carb cleaner and the gumout store brand cleaner when I pulled the intake from the wife's svx.
No comparison
At all.
The valvoline stuff eats through any carbon deposits with only spraying it. The other stuff is junk and did almost nothing.

All the intake runners were caked with gunk. I sprayed half of them with valvoline, half with gumout. Let both sit for a minute and then sprayed again. The valvoline treated side dissolved all the gunk and left a shiny aluminum finish. The gumout did almost nothing. I repeated this on the intake runners engine side with same results. I then finished cleaning the whole thing with the valvoline.
The difference is astonishing.
I wont waste another cent on the regular junk anymore. This is one case where spending the 2 dollars more for the shiny label and "synthetic" buzzword will be worth it.

I should have taken pictures, I will next time. And get a dyno chart too
