Legacy on the road again!

As most of you know, I have a 1996 Legacy LSi 2.5 with 198.5k miles. Body's great, but the engine felt a bit fickle, in need of some head gaskets, cracked egr hose(we know now), due for a timing belt and water pump. So I picked up the belts, pump, new EGR valve(was throwing bad egr code, P0400, and couldn't find anything else), and engine reseal kit.

So young tom came after the Philadelphia Auto Show to my house with his truck and dolly, loaded it up, and took it away. Four days later, tom calls me up and says it's done, but CEL is still on for EGR, so he's checking that out. Then he calls me and says there's a cracked vacuum hose under the intake manifold, one of the T's. He replaces it, resets the codes, and it hasn't been on since.

I picked the car up, and dropped my SVX off for an engine re-seal, timing belt, water pump, wheel bearings, steering rack, and a slew of other things. Right away I took the Legacy around the block(if you can call what they have in jersey blocks), and I could defidently feel a difference. It was more solid, didn't feel as fragile, and ran much better.

Just wanted to say thanks Tom, car rides like a dream.

First car on tom's new lift

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!
