Last year, I got 30 MPG on the way UP to Reading. Then, OT adjusted my TPS to spec and I got 27 going home.
Oh well. This year, I got 28 MPG up and back...with 276K on the clock...old plugs...and a bad iris check valve.
Your first mistake is running anything less than 92 in the SVX engine. Lamboman tried it and wound up selling his SVX due to engine noise and poor mileage.
In my opinion (and this is just my opinion mind you), the SVX is so tightly engineered, if you go too far off spec on ANYTHING, you run the risk of throwing so many things off. Of course, I wouldn't be so confident in having an opinion if I didn't have an SVX with 276K on it.
