The Continental ContiExtremeContact is great in the snow and rain and quite and nicely priced. With those great qualities something has to go and that would be the dry traction. So if you don't want to win at auto-X it's a good all year round tire IMHO.
Then again maybe auto-X could be run in the rain or snow.
The SVX would kick some a$$ then.
