So I hacked out the middle section of the bumper support. Probably only saved me about 8kg, but it's worth it. I left the foam in there, and surprising there's a more traditional bumper support panel (for other JDM Subaru's) sitting on top of the heavy US crash one. So I left each end of the US crash support panel there, and bolted it to the JDM part...should be good. (Note to self, take more photos to explain my work).

Tony, I'm not sure how we'll be testing that. From my perspective, I know there'll be problems if the brakes fade. If they don't, then I'm not so worried.

Brakes setup is proposed to be 4 pot WRX calipers at the front, with the rotors machined down to size, and possibly the 2 pot WRX calipers at the rear with a vented disc (instead of the standard solid disc)*. Backing plates will be removed to assist cooling and Ferodo DS3000 pads fitted.

*Unsure if this will work of course.

Painting the cage has begun.
