Very smart finacially. You not only get an net interest free loan (interest you pay to a 401K loan goes into the 401k you own) but you get to put in more than the max contribution limits.
Basically you are gving yourself a loan and you pay yourself the interest. Its a great plan, but
I have heard that some 401K managing companies are actually talking about cutting into your business and stealing some of the interest as "administrative fees"... crooks.
