Yes Todd, "until" is the way it will happen. Anything in this house that causes major expense, or is electronic gadgetry, has arrived home unannounced, out of the blue, fait accompli.

We have had a number of sometimes heated discussions about this, about joint decision making. They usually end at the point where I ask "If I had asked you in advance should we buy this, what would you have said?"

Ann being absolutely honest, never told a lie, says "I would have said No of course". I rest my case.
