I learned something...

Belts are tricky things. When attempting to point something out in your engine bay, stay at least 3 inches away from all belts while the engine is running. Apparently, belts "jump" from where you see them, but so fast you can't see it.

My finger was about 2.5" away, and suddenly, it went numb. The belt had jumped up a bit and slapped the end of my finger. It stung. A lot.

Lets hope everyone can take something away from my experience. I probably knew this at some point, but my memory is not what it used to be...

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, scotch in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming HOOOOYA !!!!!
