I have mine installed after the radiatior and in front of the a/c condenser. The temperature out the trans drops about 30F, 15F in each one. The thermometers are attached to the outside of the metal trans lines and wrapped with foam insulation.
At first I had it in between the condenser and the radiator and by-passed the radiator all together. This got way to hot on hot days very fast!
I have also installed a diverter valve to bypass the cooler in the winter.
Now all I have to do is get the AWD system to work and find out where to put the "secret hole" in that hydraulic control valve thing and the car will be in great shape.
