FWD light

Just curious (newb)

The SVX that I went to look at this past weekend was absolute garbage.

However, the seller keeps texting me, as if to "convince" me to buy it.

Nevertheless, I had a question when looking at... The "FWD" light was on constantly (as well as the check engine light)..... He explained it with something along the lines of:

"The previous owner wired something up under the hood so that it didn't use the AWD and save gas for the summer..... all you need to do is replace a fuse"

That just didn't sound right to me...... He texted me today:

"That light is always on, unless there is wheel slippage, Then the AWD kicks in"

I have no idea why he is texting me.... The car was a POS... and after seeing it (before even driving it) I'd already made up my mind.

Nevertheless, can someone school me on the FWD light please?

This is the car.... Just in case you need vehicle years/specs, etc. It "may apply to all years though.. I don't know.
