Standard turbo:
-custom up-pipe
-custom down pipe
-custom bracket for turbo "just in case"
-oil filter conversion flange
-lines for the above
-a small amount of custom air piping

vs:
-custom exhaust system
-custom annoying air filter setup that requires constant checking and fear of driving in rain
-custom mandatory bracket for turbo
-oil filter conversion flange
-extremely long custom lines for the above
-LOTS of custom air piping back to front with no where to run it

...watch out for them speed bumps.. driveways... well lets, put it this way, my fist can still touch the ground while touching my car add a pipe under that!

do what you want man, i'm just saying.
also the bulk of any added weight with normal turbo would still be behind the front wheels.. you'll need an intercooler for either arangment to improve, MORE so with the remote system due to the fact that you're essentially baking the air on the return trip
