Re: Claret Tri-Tone?
This is a pre-prodution prototype, as evidenced by what appears to be a finished interior. I believe the interior of the same car is pictured on pg69 at the top. It's an escaine interior, making it an "L" model. Being a P-P prototype, it'd be in full production trim, including paint.
That's what leads me to believe that the "L" was to be a tri-tone. Gray cladding was a hallmark of the low line cars from the day.
