Yes, but it turns out that would cost twice as much as what I paid.
I offered $650 for the trans, delivered to the shop
(owner was from out of town).
So I bought this guys' transmission today. He claims it is an 02 with an 05 center diff and a couple other upgraded components.
I took another look at my old trans, the interior was scored with pock marks from the shrapnel floating around. It's pretty awesome.
My tech has also inexplicably found a drive shaft, that will fit without modification.
I asked him what car it was from, he says he *thinks* it's from an Outback but he is not sure. I asked him to take measurements.
The car will be back together in a couple days with a superior clutch, gear set, drive shaft, and a more reliable install.
