Danny, I take deep, personal offence. That's the standard interior from an S40 II, same as the '94 one I have in England.


These came in when Fuji had a lot of cars to sell and they "cheapened" the spec to reduce unit cost. This model was followed by the S3, which was sadly very very cheapened, it's the one SVX I would resist buying. They made amends with the S4, which is the pinnacle, the one to have other than a CXD.

Yes the interior panels are painted grey, that's how they left the factory. There are cars in the US like this too I have noticed. The ecsaine on the dash is also a lighter material grade in grey than the original '92 cars had in purple.

Michael, strange they made the interior so black for kindergarden use? I'm beginning to suspect that your idea of a black interior is a matt black Black Hole. Anything less black than this is dark grey.
