The paint's not too good on the hood and the roof. Real paint won't fit the budget, so we'd already considered spray. Flat black was the idea, though we were considering only the top half. We'll see how it looks.
I think the windshield is good, although it sounds like a lot of work. I'd be a little afraid of braking it during swap out- we'd both have a mess. Wouldn't shipping across the country for 2 windshields be outrageous? I think it would kill the deal. I like your trade parts idea!
I'm convinced the way a lot of folks get through this challenge is creative rules interpretation.
