Christmas bonus??? What's THAT?
Good god people, get down on your hands and knees and say HALLELUJAH if you get a banana from the boss at Christmas!
Seriously, us state govt. workers don't get any sort of bonus. If we want a Christmas Party we put it on and pay for it.
Of course during the year, leave policy is fairly liberal compared to private sector and we get all the federal holidays plus one or two state ones - so I guess it works out.
We also have the "incremental pay" bonus once a year - which is $50 for each year of service worked. Not too bad when you get up to 20 years or so.
But a Christmas BONUS?????
