Subaru Cam Sprocket Tool - Question

Can anyone describe for me what the Subaru cam sprocket tool looks like and how it works?

As I understand it, the cam sprockets on our beloved EG33 motors have five spokes, but do not have any holes into which the prongs of a typical cam sprocket tool would fit (a typical tool being a "Y" shaped piece of stamped steel with a perpendicular steel prong extending from the end of each "arm" of the "Y"). So how does the Subaru tool hold the cam sprocket in place?

By the way, I understand how the Subaru tool for the crankshaft pulley works, having seen photos of that tool in use. I've never seen photos of the cam sprocket tool in action.

Thanks for any insights.
