-someone on this site wanted to know the total volume of oil produced on this here planet. Seems the estimate is 940 billion gallons. You do the volume conversion, I've done the hard part.

I posed that question a while ago, & wonder how many of us really know what a "barrel" of oil looks like. How many gallons in a barrel? Are we looking at beer keg-like things here? So...to get a visual handle on things, will 940 billion gallons top off lake Erie,.... Superior,... or the Carribean Sea? I mean all I know is my fish pond is 125 gallons, & the fish prefer water.
