Stalling when put in drive and HOT alternator
I just bought a 95 SVX. The previous owner had it at a garage because all the fuses blew while he was driving. The garage replaced the fuses and said the climate controls then burned up. So they started unplugging harnesses, and it started back up after the ABS module was unplugged.
It stalls out once you put it into drive. Reverse works fine though. I did rev it a bit and slide into drive to get it moving but once the rpms drop it just stalls out again. Checked the MAF and it was fine. Also, just like the old alternator the new one I just installed gets VERY hot.
I have no idea what would cause this...
I did the self diagnosis and came up with Engine Code 38. Which is a short between the TCU and the ECU. Not really sure how to find it...
Also, today I plugged the climate controls back in to make sure they were actually bad. It didnt work, and it made the gauge cluster stopped working, and the window controls, as well as other things. Is there a main fuse or relay for these?
Any insight would be helpful!
