one of my frens had the similar experience. but it's cheap to buy not cheap to fix. he bought his 2nd gens rx-7 w/ 59K auto for about $2k. the exterior body looks okay. he just drove for a week then the engine broke. not many pple knew how to work on it and he gave up that. his rotary engine's died at 59K!! i felt sad for him.
after saving some money, he later bought a same yr older audi for $1.5K w/ 194K on the clock. now the audi is clocking over 200K!! it's some probs but still running okay. sooner or later, he will throw away his 2nd gens rx-7(white). anyone if likes to have the body can PM me. i may talk to him about that.
