Sounds like you've hit that "weird quandry" stage in the SVX security system. Just guessing, but, when your switch is on, I'll bet your light stays on steadily (does not flash). Am I correct? If so, the situation sometimes corrects itself, sometimes it doesn't. I've posted my theory on this, a few times. I won't go into it, but, I'm thinking if you disconnect the control unit, and let everything drain (including the back-up capacitors), then, plug it back in, then, it may re-set itself. Someone was going to try this for me, but, I've never heard how they got on with the "R&D."

If, for some reason, you get NO light at all, on the security switch, then, my feeling is, that the unit is fried. Just a guess, though.
