i had the same problem a while ago, before you get too serious about a big problem check all the grounds for your electronics. i dont know how you wired yours, but on the svx there is a ground on the back of the intake manifold on the pass side, basically a bolt goes through a connector on a ground wire that splits off into a few ground wires and my bolt came loose.
