I do remember the '80s ads. I think the Olympic team ad had a lot to do with my buying a 1986 GL Turbo. Then there was the farmer telling his son to go out and buy a Subaru and he comes back with an XT. "I thought I told you to buy a Subaru?". "But Dad, I did".
