Like I said, I fumbled through it. I somehow managed to set up a combination of the metal sleeves that fit & worked using the long bolt to draw/push.
The really bad part - now that Beav points out the real purpose - was I asked the base auto skills center "advisory" mechanic what the "C" thing was for and he was clueless. Kinda makes me cautious about getting future advice from him.
