I think I might be having a similar problem, although I have no clue what's causing it. When I'm on the highway and I lightly press down on the gas, I often feel the car actually decelerating a little bit. Is this similar to your problem? If so, It might be an ignition problem, perhaps spark plugs. I know that I've experienced misfires at idle at certain times and I'm guessing the two are related.
