It might just be your heat shields and not the catalytic converter
Jack up your car and check to see if it is just the heat shields that are rattling. Once you get under there you will see what the heat sheilds are. They run the entire length of the echaust system. Just grab ahold of them and shake 'em tillyou see which is making the noise
