Yeah, the laser is practically impossible to beat...not only is it "instant-on," it has very little over-splatter and can be aimed very precisely. No over-splatter means that you're not likely to benefit from the cops checking the speed of OTHER drivers first, and the precise aiming capability means that the cops can pick you out of a crowd.

I still have my old Passport, but I rarely use it because many of the state cop cars, and some of the locals, here in upstate New York are equipped with laser (and there's at least one who patrols the Interstates around here who has LIDAR installed in a Camaro).
