Seems rasonable. Ooh, bit of advice...Clearcoat is your friend. Use alot of layers of clear. Also, Im pretty sure if you wet sand between coats youll get a smoother finish (No orange peel) But Im no paint expert myself.
If your repairing rust damage, theres two ways to do it...One is to cut out the rusted area and weld in a patch panel, or you can use a wire wheel to remove as much rust as possible, then spray it with rust treatment, bondoglass over it, and sand smooth. Either way, you might want to pait or rubber coat the back side of whatever you worked on to prevent it from rusting from behind.
