I respect your opinion and your experience. I'm not advocating NuFinish, but, my personal experience, again, is the proof I need. My 85 Peugeot 505sti (Charcoal, one of the worst colors for clearcoat degeneration), looked new, the day they drug it off to the junk yard -- after three years of NuFinish treatment. My 80 Spitfire shined like a new penny up 'til the day it was totalled, after two years of NuFinish. My Suzuki Sidekick always got comments on its shine up til the day (two years of NuFinish) I traded it in on my SVX.
A friend of mine who had a badly oxidized Chevy Blazer asked me what to get to "help" his paint. I suggested NuFinish and he was amazed. It restored the finish to near new qualities.
Again, I may never use it on my SVX, AND, I'm not telling anyone else to use it, nor, do I own stock in the company -- just sharing my experience.
Perhaps BMW needs to look into their clearcoat formulation.
