Tranny crapped out on me 2 years ago, I got it fixed 8 months ago, but the sitting did a number on the car, this is what I've replaced to make it reliable again.

Transmission
Front diff
rear diff
Radiator
AC compressor
Alternator
All vacum, egr, and fuel hoses
All belts (timing, alt, ac)
New cats
New 02 sensors
New intake gaskets
New water manifold
New EGR vaccum switch
New dome light
new map lights
completly swapped interior, includings seats, carpet, dash, gage cluster
new passenger side tail light
new trunk carpet, floor, and sides.
new time control unit
new seatbelt ecu
new shiftlock module
new clock
new tps
new sunroof tracks
new wheel well cowlings
new tires.

As I see it, we have a commitment to our cars, they aren't making anymore of them. I would have spent far less money simply parting mine out and buying a another, newer one, but now I have one I know is good for another 10-15 years. There is also not a single area of the SVX I have not learned about, from auto tranny theory to how to properly clean your headlights. It was expensive, but it was ultimately very rewarding.

I'll get off of my soapbox now
