Can anyone measure a base ball for comparison (not a softball)

Most of the ones I saw were bigger than golf balls. The biggest one that was reportedly found was 5 in diameter. On the news they were comparing them to baseballs.

There weren't any injuries, were there?

One guy got knocked unconcious and got pelted for a while until some people rescued him. One or two other people may have also gotten hospitalized with concusions. There were also some idiots running around with a video camera and an umbrella.

Do you get any warning before a storm like that hits? How do you know to get inside before you get hit?

This is New Mexico, I can guess the weather right more often than the weather man. We had no warning and no cover for our cars. This has been known to happen once every hundred years or so. We are much more accustomed to getting our cars sandblasted.

why spend the money on the replacement glass

My dad says it'll keep the rats out if we keep it, make the car driveable/sellable, and we can sell the windows later to if we don't need them. I'm with you but I'm researching it for his sake.

Now back to business. Do you guys know whether I would have the blue or bronze tinted windows? The official word from subaru is $3013 for the blue ones and $2615 for bronze. At this point I don't think it matters.
