You are probably correct about the acceleration. A bigger or heavier wheel has more mass. It will take more rotational energy to turn it.
Therefore your drivetrain with the heavier wheels will absorb more of your engine torque output, a bigger percentage than with the lighter wheels. Result; it will accelerate more slowly.
