Ok, I'll be the one to tell you to go ahead and do it.
I haven't touch that area of my SVX yet, but from a couple of previous messages from either Beav or Oab (the Australian?) bolting them separately ought to work, as well as inserting a metal sleeve of the proper dimension between the two "bosses". I think that's the technical name for that part. When and if I do my own bearings next time, I'll probably consider doing one or the other method as a preventive measure.
