That must be why there are 10 to 1 British surivivers to Japanese survivors from even 1970 on the road today.
Unlike Japanese throw away cars the cars are fixable with mechanical and electrical skills rather than needing to be a huge dealer network for parts and the parts replacers. All my Lucas (same part number as the TR7) switches work better than the switches in my SVX did. Plus they are able to be disassembled, cleaned, contacts replaced etc.
