I actually spent my birthday with a bunch of drunk campers at a campground on Rathbun Lake in Iowa. The big celebration was last night at home. Got some presents and cried a lot. It's the first time in 18 years that my daughter wasn't at home for my birthday. She wrote me a very nice note on a very nice card, bought me a CD with a "special" song that she had me play, and, she videotaped a special birthday message. I blubbered like a stoopid girl!
Anyhoo, I had PINK cake (strawberry) with fresh strawberries on top (in honor of my daughter who ate strawberries almost every day) and vanilla ice cream.
Thanks again for all the birthday wishes. It made my first day back to work, after vacation, much easier to take.
