It is only four 12mm bolts (outside wrench diameter) and one link to deal with, but what a PITA!
Yes, I recommend you pull the intake manifold and replace every vac line under it, as they will likely be brittle. Just be very careful with the plastic nipples they tend to break if you look at them wrong.

While the intake manifold is off the iris valve is much easier to deal with.
