Re: Rattling Noise

Alright, I think this is a little better video. It's still dark and grainy, but I think it captures the sound i'm talking about pretty well. You can hear it the best from about 11seconds to 27seconds when i'm near the front wheel.

Some potentially helpful background info:

I replaced the transmission this summer. This noise didn't come about until about a month later.

I did checked the flex plate bolts and they were tight.

The sound goes away when the car heats up, after ~15-30 min

This might be unrelated, but when I manually downshift to 3rd, the transmission doesn't slow the car down. So, say I'll be going 40mph or so and I'll downshift from D to 3rd. The rpms drop to about 1000rpm and the car is just coasting when it should be stuck in 3rd and slowing down. Then the rpms will spike and slow the car in a jolt, then start coasting again. It will just coast.... jerk... coast... jerk. All my other gears will downshift correctly, but not 3rd.

Any thoughts or opinions welcome. Thanks
