Re: SVX on TopGear website

As much as I would think it would be cool for RWD... I hope they don't mount the boxer further aft, if they go RWD.

IF that stays in place, a GR impreza drivetrain and front upright transplant should be able to put WRX or STI AWD in the car. Although Subaru should offer it straight from the factory, because that is always more feasible in a factory, than aftermarket.

If they move the engine aft, it would help balance, but make the AWD drivetrain less feasible.

But I would prefer a co-linear model menu with Impreza, with the standard 2.0 being the base, (and sportier than Impreza 2.5i), with WRX coupe, and WRX STI coupe above that, with turbos and AWD. They should know to build that... people will want it, and will build it themselves in a few cases, if not offered. Subaru may as well assemble it that way, and make the money.

Heck, I wish it would keep a nicer interior, more in line with the outgoing BL Legacy GT, although with a non-integrated stereo system, and offer a nice Grand Touring model with the 3.6R engine under the hood, and VTD AWD as a fourth model. That might come somewhere within SVX's old neighborhood.

But good luck getting Subaru, Subaru of America especially to approve 4 trim lines that are so well equipped.
