See my posts about the 2005 OB wagons in the Not Exactly SVX Forum.
I sat in the 2005 Legacy GT Ltd. wagon at the dealership. It is basically the same car as the OB XT Ltd. wagon, except it was lower on its suspension.
The OB XT Ltd wagon loaded has a window sticker price of around $32, 500. You can get on right now for about $29,500-$30,000. Volvo's Outback wagon is called the X70 CrossCountry. Its sticker price is about $43,000- loaded. I test drove it.
It is a little roomier than the Suby, but does not go, handle, or stop half as well. The interiors of both the Suby and Volvo wagons are equally luxurious. However, the huge sun roof in the OB is much nicer than the one in the Volvo. The only drawback to the huge sun roof in the SUby is that the top of my head gets hot. (no bald jokes please). When I get the OB, I'm going to have that sun roof tinted.
