Chris, thanks for the help, I am fully intending to do that.

Those felt sliders you mention, it is grit in those sliders that creates the two deep tracks on the driver's window. Replacing them is a correct thing to do.

Also in case anyone is wondering the same part number works for the rear windows slider as well.
