Hrm....

I'd suggest not using the BMW engine. It's outdated, and parts are $$$. Instead, use a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder from a dodge stratus or minivan. Yep. A big four cylinder. It has about 150hp stock, and 170 ft lbs of torque. With minor bolt ons it'll get 200hp to the wheels and 200 ft lbs of torque, and still get 30+mpg. It's also an aluminum block, 4 valves/head, etc etc. (modern design)

Look into it.
