Because they have an OBD2 ECU from 1996 that is designed for forced induction and an automatic transmission. I have no idea what issues or incompatibilities there might be so I asked if anyone had looked into it. Nissan and Subaru shared a lot of parts. If the firing order is wrong or other sensors are not compatible or a turbo charged version of the EG33 would be too dissimilar to the 300ZX turbo then, yeah, it wouldn't make sense but how would anyone know for sure unless someone looked into it before? Living in western PA and hanging out with the locals has made you cranky.
