Looks like fairly normal bearing wear. I bet the rough spot was on the bottom, where the loads are the highest.
Without the noise I might end up going a bit faster than I mean to.  : That's easily done! This morning on my way home I nearly sped past my road. I was going 15mph faster that I thought!
