Of course...If it was TIG welded, Im sure that it wasnt pure tungsten used, and had a small percentage of alloying elements in it. Most likely the tungsten was thoriated. Pure tungsten is best used to TIG weld aluminum

Unless of course, it has NOTHING to do with welding and tungsten is in fact used for something in the turbo. But I wouldnt know anything about that now, would I?
