I will admit to knowing something about vehicle dynamics. At this point in my career lifecycle I shoot for a living. I develop bullet, blast and fragment resistant products from concept to sales.

My assumption on your knowledge about guns and cars is that you've probably learned everything you know from re-runs of "Nash Bridges".

If you are ever in a situation where the bad guy has a gun, run. it's that simple. You will go from living to dead in 30ms (if you're 30 feet away) I'm not going to get into the mechanics of shooting from a moving car. But it sounds like you're willing to risk your life (and others) to nudge someone who's already displeased enough to shoot at you.

Maybe you've got an external excuse for being this way. If you recognise the problem you should do something about it.
