Something that I've found very convienent for changing spark plugs in tight areas is a spark plug socket with a built in u-joint. I was able to do the plugs on an SVX very quickly without needing to use the access panel or remove anything else. I got mine at Autozone for less than $10 (I believe, it was several years back)
