Thumbs up Good response

Thank you all for the great response. Round about 26 on US galls seems to be most typical for large numbers of people.

This is very good mileage for such a large car.

The SVX looks low, so does not appear to be large, but it weighs the same as an XJ6 Jaguar, a big, heavy four-door car. Also, it has the added energy sapping element of AWD transmission.

We will do another in the new year on worst consumption.

I find that the range between good and bad is very narrow. The worst I have got in city driving is about 18, open road about 26. I have had carburettor cars in the past which had a 12-15 mpg gap between steady speed driving, and city or fast driving. I put this down to the exceptional management electronics and the variable inlet, all these factors keep consumption in the low to reasonable range.

If only they could have given the car a gearbox worthy of the rest of the car!!

Joe
